(North America Model Review) Great Product
"Receipt was quick - well packaged and was not damaged. Easy integration with our other radios and easy to set up. Love that it is waterproof and we use around the water to communicate between beach and house. We think this is going to be a great addition!"
(North America Model Review) Huge features in a small platform.
"As a commercial ship captain, I'm required to monitor many radios. The volume of radio traffic often makes it difficult to transmit and receive vital information with my crew over the traditional frequencies. Problem solved with the Cobra Micro Talk. Not only can I page individual crew, but the privacy function provides for uninterupted come. A powerful tool in a compact platform."
(North America Model Review) Couldn’t be happier
"Couldn’t be happier. This walky is the perfect fit for an abandoned island. The connection is great, the hardware itself doesn’t have to be babied (everything here is covered in salt water and sand). We haven’t yet tested the 37mile range, but we plan to do so here soon. Great fit for an emergency communication device on an island!"
(North America Model Review) Electronics Function as Stated but Poor Quality and Design
"All the electronic features work as stated and I had no issues with that. The problem is that it is poorly designed, likely not field tested more than just sitting outside, poor UI/UX of the exterior unit, and cheaply made clip and case. The cost should be more around the $50 instead of $100 because the plastic screen is extremely thin and cheap. It got scratched immediately after clipping it to my belt and me just walking and my cotton shirt sleeve brushing up against it. Should be made out of sapphire glass, or more durable plastic to uphold field work in nature where I intended to use it, up until the clip broke off after trying to take it off my belt. It's made of very cheap and thin plastic. The lower lip of the clip comes out to much so it snags on your belt so there is no easy way to take it off unless you leverage a finger onto the antenna which only means it's a matter of time before the antenna cracks off. It happened while I was on a river bank over rocks and luckily I didn't drop it. Finally, the fact that they slipped a small note to remove the USB cover to release internal pressure from the battery compartment before screwing it open proves it's an after thought and not tested because it's not in the manual. Plus, that advice doesn't help. You have to use a screwdriver to pry it open and that is guaranteed to crack the cover eventually. I get it has to be airtight to float, but more thought in that design is needed because it's not easy to remove. I feel like they didn't test it outside in real-life situations like they imply in their marketing. I think it's a good unit for sitting, not a good unit for hiking, working, etc. All in all, I'll keep it because I have so many volunteer workdays this year and don't have time to waste on this."
(North America Model Review) AWESOME choice for waterprrof radios - - Traveling? Perfect fit!
"We've trusted Cobra waterproof radios for years, and adding this new unit to our setup was a breeze! It arrived quickly, was super easy to set up, and synced seamlessly with our existing walkie-talkies. The range is impressive, and communication is crystal clear. If you're looking for a reliable, durable, and easy-to-use radio, this one is a winner! I would recommend for family vacations, travel, boating, lake, beach, ski and any other activity when communication with is a must!"
