Just What I needed

"I am a volunteer with my local police department. Often times we staff events where I can’t be in eyesight of my team members. These radios help me keep in contact with my team. They’re easy for everyone to use and make us all feel safer."

Rubbish!

"We recently bought 8 of these Cobra ACXT145 2-way radios for our field work and they are completely useless! The LCD Display does not show a battery status button as in the illustration in the manual and when charging the rechargeable batteries, the charging flash symbols continued to revolve around the LCD display even though the batteries have been fully charged. Added to this they don’t sync with our Motorola radios even though they are tuned to the same channel and despite repeated requests for help to their customer service, I haven’t even had the courtesy of a response! Rubbish – a complete waste of money!"

Cobra walkie talkie ACXT145

"There is no way to know how much battery power you have left because there is no battery indicator on the screen. When I shut it off and charge it all I see is one black little dot going around."

John (2/5)

Battery level???

"Compact, light, I used utility cord for a loop to attach a carabiner to clip to my harness. My quam: the rechargeable battery. There's no remaining battery level display -- a real drawback. Nor can I see when they're charged 100%, and they came as a 3-pack. So... do I guess, say, and charge each one for an hour? Two? Sloppy design. Better to pack spare batteries. Three AAAs, change them out in the field. Wouldn't have to do that if I knew they were 100% charged before I took them out."

Q&A

What should I do if I lost the charger?
You can find a Micro-USB charging cable with "Y" Plug from various sellers online or electronic stores that will charge up your radios or you can use regular 'AAA' alkaline batteries.
